We’ve now made our way through 5 states and have stopped for the night in Limon, Colorado at a La Quinta.

Once again, I booked our room through Booking.com. I wanted a non-smoking room with 2 beds and preferably a breakfast.

Just walking into this hotel was a hell of a lot better than the other one. We were checked in quickly and made our way to our room on the second floor. The halls and elevator were nice and clean.

The Room

The room was excellent! It just smelled clean when we walked in. It’s a nice large room with 2 beds, a closet and a nice large bathroom.

The only thing that seemed to be missing in the room was more light. It seemed really dark in the room no matter which lights we had on.

The first thing I decided to do was to take a shower and wash the road off me. After 15 hours in the car, you need a nice hot shower!

The shower pressure was a little lacking. It took forever just to get the shampoo and conditioner out of my hair. The temperature was nice though, which is always a good thing.

After my shower, I just got cozy in the bed. And it was cozy! I think pillows are the worst part of any hotel room experience. They’re always small and too soft, in my opinion. But the bed, it was JUST RIGHT! I did some work on my laptop and Kayleigh and I watched some TV.

The Breakfast

As you know, the breakfast is incredibly important to us. It helps determine how long we can go on our drive before stopping again.

This breakfast was pretty good. They had scrambled eggs, sausage, yogurts, muffins, cinnamon rolls, stuff for oatmeal, a pancake maker and a waffle maker!

We definitely filled up and I even enjoyed a couple cups of coffee!

After breakfast, we went back to our room to pack up and check out.

The Ratings

On the cleanliness scale, this place gets a 10/10. I can’t complain about the cleanliness in any way here!

On a friendliness scale, I’d give it an 9/10 just because they were so fast and efficient with check-in and check-out.

Breakfast was an 8/10. There was a variety but Kayleigh says that the hot water for her hot chocolate was lukewarm. Also, we both agreed that the sausage tasted a little weird.

Overall, I would give this place a 9/10. Everything was pretty good about it. There’s just a couple of complaints that I have, one of them being the water pressure and the lack of bright lighting for the room.

This is definitely a place that I’d come back to again, especially for the price! This room cost us $96 for the night. So far, one of the best places I’ve stayed at.
