Hey all! It’s been awhile and a lot has changed in my life, but I’m back!!
First off, I want to thank everyone who has continued following along while I’ve been on my hiatus. I greatly appreciate the support that I’ve been given during this time of my life and I sincerely appreciate every one of you!
As of February 2024, I’m now a divorcee. My children are growing up quickly. Kayleigh is all grown up and working time in the food service industry. Anthony is turning 18 shortly and graduating high school. He’s planning on college but doesn’t seem to have chosen one just yet. My youngest, Elisa, is a freshman in high school and seems to be loving it. She’s following in her brother’s footsteps, being a member of the marching band and has also chosen to join the school’s track team.
I myself am still working full-time as bookkeeper and office manager for a local home maintenance company. I’m going to attempt to do one trip a month to be able to continue my writing, however, things have been a bit more difficult with all of the children’s activities. Right now, I’m planning Anthony’s graduation party this coming June. I had forgotten just how much planning goes into it, but this time, at least I have a bit more experience. I knew to reach out to the venue much earlier this time, although, we still were limited on available dates.
I have lots of plans of things I’d like to do and places I want to go. I still want to travel the country and visit as much as I can. I want to visit every single National Park and every single National Forest. I want to camp and hike and explore as much as I can. The United States is so large and there are so many amazing things to see. The history of this country may be dark and dirty, but the nature of it is absolutely incredible! The mountains and hills, the valleys and the rock formations. The beautiful creatures that survive in unbelievable surroundings.
I bought a cheap camper last spring. It’s super cute and I’ve put a lot of time and money into renovating it, making it more mine. The nasty, ugly curtains, have been removed. The plumbing, all redone! Cabinets, painted a gorgeous blue! I pulled down the old border from around the camper as well. Haven’t done anything different with the walls yet, but still deciding what I should do. All of the lights have been updated to LED and brand new tires. I’m very proud of the work that’s been put into it!!
Isn’t that just the cutest camper ever?! It’s the perfect size to take the kids with me on trips. There’s one room, plus bunk beds and a pull out couch. The table also turns into a bed, though I haven’t had the chance to try that out yet! Can’t wait to take this thing out for some regular trips and enjoy the hell out of it!!
So, for now, this is where I’m at. I’m still working, and loving spending time with my kids, but also trying to get out there and explore! You’ll be seeing more of me, it’ll just take some time to get moving. I hope you’ll hang in with me while I get back into the groove. So, goodbye for now, and I’ll be seeing you soon!!
